This sculpture was found in Hohlenstein-Stadel, Germany between 30,000-26,000 BCE. It is carved out of a mammoth ivory. this relates to everyday life because life is a struggle and in order to survive in the world you have to fight. In my mind I see this peace representing a man struggling to live and possibly taking care of his family at the same time. In order for him to survive he has to be just like the king of the jungle, the lion. Being the stronger dominate male around to hunt for food, protect his family, and all the things in order to live life. Th lion represents that well. For example I am taking 22 units over all, playing rugby year around, and working all at the same time. In order for me to survive, I have to balance out my time wisely and be a man of my own actions.
